Jalkunan language

Jalkunan is a small-population Mande language spoken in the village cluster of Blédougou in SW Burkina Faso. Within Mande it is notable for sharply distinguishing animate from inanimate third person pronominals. I worked on it for a few months during 2016-2017, funded by the National Science Foundation, Documenting Endangered Languages program.
