Pictures from life in Wolverine Country and thereabouts. (All images are thumbnails: click for larger images.) Home sweet lab! Dr. Bing-Guan Chen and I in our comfy cubicles. Note the lack of windows --our lab is temporarily 60 feet below ground in Sub-basement C of Medical Science Research Building 2. (Admit it, you were always curious what was way down there!) ...and this is the view from the top of MSRB 2, facing north. The Huron River valley can be quite pretty during the fall! My apartment is the set of buildings just down the street in the second panel from left. Home sweet...apartment....okay, it's not home. But it is a place to crash between lab/ward/classes. A group of us in our family going out to eat here in Ann Arbor. (Mom's taking the picture.) Pictures from a get-together of Class of 2001 folk at the end of the first three-month series of clinical rotations. A group of us from our lab at the Human Genetics Retreat this fall. Travelling to Washington DC for the NRMP with friend in tow (the bear's a gift for Andy.) Hanging with my good friend John Jones in Washington DC. With Andy, Cat, and the new whiz-bang SGI graphics supercomputer Andy gets to play with on a daily basis. Dropped through to say hello for the first time since the wedding. Sincere thanks to the amazing Cat for making the trip possible! AMA Interim Meeting 1999: Five of us brave (foolhardy) souls flew into LAX and then drove down to San Diego at 2AM in the morning; here, we triumphantly pose in the lobby after arrival. The Michigan Medical Student Delegation gathers for lunch in a local farmer's market --a whole lot of fun folks, Michiganders are. :-) Reference Committee B poses for a post-assembly picture --a more wonderful and insightful group of colleagues one could not ask for. Thanks everyone!
