Subject: PSE sucks

I stumbled across your web site while looking up some bowhunting info. Bad

metallurgy in the riser! COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE FROM PSE. PSE should have

jumped through hoops and bent over to kiss your ass to fix this one.

Obviously they didn't.

This scares the shit out of me because I had a 100 lb. custom bow built

with Maxis cams for an African Safari to pursue Black Death that has been

delayed due to the shitty oil and gas economy down here in Texas - and in

Michigan since the company I work with is based in Traverse City - area

where Mitch Rompala's monster was harvested. Fortunately, I haven't had

that kind of problem - hopefully won't. If that fucker blows - it is gonna

hurt. However, I can relate because after ordering the bow through my local

shop, the bows delivery date came - no bow. After multiple phone calls with

no response, going way past the day it was to arrive - hunting season fast

approaching - I got someone in "service" and told them my name, my dealers

name, everything necessary to get the bow to "field test" it on some

piglets, exotics, etc. - and they could not tell me the status! I almost

cancelled the order when my bowshop said they got an arrival time from PSE.

Your comments on PSE sucks reminds me of my comments on the many of these

self-proclaimed Texas bowhunters. Most of them, NOT ALL OF THEM, are the

most apathetic people I have run across. I dropped all organizations (Lone

Star Bowhunters Association, World Bowhunters) because I got tired of

wasting my time trying to get people off their lazy ass and do something

worthwhile.

A previous LSBA president sent a letter to the Texas Parks and Wildlife

stating he was representing all bowhunters in the state of Texas and

recommending legal draw weight be reduced to 35lbs, ban expanding

broadheads, use this because the rest sucks bullshit. While the idea of

reducing the legal draw weight to 35lbs is admirable inasmuch as getting

more youth into the field, I question, along with many other EX-LSBA

members, 35 lbs. can not generate enough kinetic energy to efficiently

harvest larger animals with less than a perfect shot. While I personally

haven't used expandable blades, I have a set in my box ready for testing

this spring. A good friend of mine tested his Spitfires on Nilgai, with

devastating results. The animal has a history of not bleeding much on the

outside due to its thick hide and body shape, but this one bled like

somebody shot it out of a garden hose. By the way - none of the LSBA

bonehead ideas passed. The cockroach didn't represent my ideas - use what

you are comfortable with - end of my membership.

World Bowhunters - problem in Texas is the member base is not bow hunters -

just rock-n-roll fans that didn't hunt- which is fine - they just wanted to

go hang out with Ted - which is fine. I donated 2 years of my time as a

Regional Director for this organization trying to get bowhunters off their

ass. The only time anyone would get off their ass is when Ted was coming to

town. Hell, at one point we had ~70 members in the Houston area. World

Bowhunters put on a hunt on the Nilgai/hog/javelina hunt and only four

members showed up from the Houston area. I had six guys drive from MS for

the hunt. Most of the members I talked with months prior to the hunt asked

if Ted was going - when informed he was not - they "didn't want to go

unless Ted was going". What is wrong with that picture - I have more people

coming from MS to hunt than from my own region - for a Texas hunt. When it

came time for renewing my membership, no one returned my phone calls (both

state level and Jackson, MI office) - so I figured they didn't need my

support. They probably didn't want it after I expressed my views I would

gladly support Ted's organization about bowhunting/hunting/gun ownership

issues, but I was through babysitting his fans in the Houston area. I

haven't heard anything about this organization in quite a while - not at

any shows, shoots, etc. They have disappeared out of this area. I guess

they have a few members left in Texas.

If you ever plan on coming to Texas to hunt - E-mail me and I will give you

the lowdown on who sucks and who doesn't as far as outfitters are

concerned. If I don't know them from personal experience, I'll be glad to

find out from my fellow bowhunters.

It will be interesting to see the outcome of the lawsuit - when I first saw

PSE's "new" bow, one glance and I said it was a Matthews with a PSE

sticker. Obviously, Matthews agrees.
