stump6.jpg (53033 bytes) Tipped over and on its side, exposed the bottom of the feeder.

NOTE: After deploying this unit, two things become apparent.  #1.  The top should be open for easy filling.  Since rain will get in, I suggest adding a "false top".  This false top would cover the stump like the lid on a 55 gallon drum.  It could be pulled off for filling and then put back over to keep out the rain etc..  Paint the top in place to make it look like its all one piece. #2. After filling up the stump with 150+ pounds of corn....the lower base area collapsed.  This are must be re-reinforced SIGNIFICANTLY!! or you may want to make a small wood base that will fit underneath. A small 2x4 on one side, topped with a small circular piece of plywood should do the trick.  This should mimic the angle of the interior baffle.
