Make Some Camo Leaves For Your Treestand

By Bruce L.

This camo project begins with a trip to a local crafts store .  Here in Michigan we go to "Franks Nursery" and the local "dollar store"  Obtain several bamboo sticks to use as the vertical supports from Franks.  A package of (6) 6 footers runs about $6.00.  Since you will be cutting them in half, you will only need two for each treestand.  Bamboo is a woody material and as such, it is easily cut and drilled.  Drill several holes around the bamboo sticks for insertion of the stems of the plastic and silk leaves.  Insert the leaf stems into the hole and threat through the bamboo and out the other side.  Wrap it around the bamboo if long enough.  Now glue it.  Use hot melt, epoxy or liquid nail.
