Ever put your treestand up and not be able to find a place to hang your bow? I'm in a treestand a lot. I like to rest up the 'ol arms every now and then. Rather then buy one, build one! Its easy and there are usually plenty of wood scraps laying around that will do the trick.
I used some plywood and (2x4 cut into slats) slats that were left over from building a treestand. Use Liquid Nail or other "exterior" glue and drywall screws. Carpeting and a large bolt covered in moleskin keeps it quite.
If you don't have a hinge lying around, buy a gate hinge with a nylon liner. This keeps it quiet and resists movement (won't swing open when you don't want it to), it will stay in place. This design gives you 180 degrees of arm swing. Just setup your stand. Figure out how high you want it to be, then lag bolt it into the tree. As an alternative for "tree huggers" use a strap and ratchet system.

Use outdoor "low nap" carpet and a large 4" bolt. Cover bolt.
