If you've listened to a scanner for any length of time, or peeked at a frequency allocation table, you know that there's a lot more to radio besides public service. Here are links to some sites which deal with some of these other aspects of radio. I won't attempt to reinvent the wheel here - quite a few sites have already indexed a lot of radio-related pages - so I'll just list some of the more interesting (IMHO) pages here. For an extensive index, try the Shortwave/Radio Catalog.

This is where I've moved all of my links to other general scanning pages, vendors, manufacturers, publications, clubs, newsgroups, and mailing lists. This page has forms for the various mailing lists, so you'll be able to subscribe, unsubscribe, and maintain your listserv subscriptions from one easy place!

This page has listings for various military installations and government agencies. No guarantees on validity of information, but it's better than nothing.

This page contains information on other miscellaneous radio usage, such as aeronautical (including blimps and the Space Shuttle), railroads, sporting events (including IndyCar and NASCAR), etc. Also included are maritime frequencies, frequency band allocations, and the Internet's original "dot" frequency list!

These pages have various frequencies, plus links to other state scanning sites and listserv subscription info. Please email me if you know of or have any frequency lists, sites, listservs, or other information that I don't have, and I'll be more than happy to add it here.
The FCC's Radio Assignment Electronic Data Dissemination Format (RAEDDF) contains various license information extracted from their database.
A list of open amateur radio repeaters by state can be found at artSci's Open Amateur Repeaters Page.
