"This happened to me"............
I shoot a Golden Key Platinum Premier. After a bunch of tunes and re-tunes :-) one of the screws that holds down the launcher prong lost its threads. Usually, no big deal...but...being in a hurry, I decided to replace the screw with a little bit beefier one. Unfortunately, it was a bit too beefy and I could not tighten it down (cutting new threads as I went) on the launcher prong. So, the prong just spun around in its socket and was useless. Then I got the bright idea to use some Loc-tight and "weld" it in place. After letting the Loc-tight set up over night, I found that it did its job!! The prong was rock solid. UNFORTUNATELY, so was the rest of the "rest". Apparently, the loc-tight ran down into the bearings and also "locked" them into place. It took quite a bit of force to push the prongs down...and of course back up again.
Well, figuring that this rest was ruined, I started looking at Bodoodles etc. for a replacement (thought I'd try something different this time). After relating this story to a friend who also shoots Golden Key products, he told me that they are guaranteed for life! Hoping against hope, I called G.K. and told them what happened. After ten minutes or so of laughing on their side of the phone call, they told me to send it to them with a check for $10.00 to cover shipping etc.
In about 2 weeks, the rest arrived. About 90% of the rest was brand new!! (my original rest was camo painted). No questions asked. Now I'm back in action shooting the Platinum Premier on my new Q2XL.
