With the base finished, add two final struts to the bottom on an angle.  This gives the stand a tremendous amount of additional strength.  Now its time for the uprights and seat.
Cut the uprights to your desired length (seat height).  Glue and screw.
Add a second upright.  Glue and screw.  Use 3" or longer screws.
A piece of 3/4" plywood ties several points together (very strong).
Add a top piece.
Add angled pieces for the seat.  Note the "saw-toothed" metal brackets on the bottom and top back plates.  These brackets give the stand "bite" into the tree when fastened.
Add the seat.  Add the cable.
