Print out the plans from WHIP! and draw them to scale. Cardboard is
more durable as a template. Lay them out on a sheet of galvanized metal which is available in most hardware stores. Obviously, I'll get several feeders from this $7.33 piece of sheet metal. Don't choose a gauge that is too thick, or it may be hard to cut by hand. The body can be of heavier gauge since it only requires 2 folds and some holes. This makes the "frame" stiffer. |

Template is copied onto the metal for cutting. Use a permanent marking pen with a fine point. The bottom Left "frame" piece can be laid out and cut from a heavier gauge if you desire. |
