Letter: Bush and Cheney deserve impeachment

I know, I know. You, my elected representatives, are going to say that there are more 
important issues right now than impeaching a lame duck president and/or vice-president. 
But before you send me your standard canned responses to calls for impeachment, you need 
to sit back and think about the crimes those two have committed.

You know the high crimes I'm talking about. Oh? Memory failing on this one? Let me remind 
you of some of them. Lying to Congress and the American people to get us into an illegal 
war. Subverting our Constitutional rights (1st and 4th) in the name of national security.

Establishing secret, illegal prisons. Directing agencies of our government to spy on us 
without warrant or probable cause.

Let me just say that you should consider it your duty to impeach both of them, not just 
because of their crimes, but because it will send a message to future presidents and vice 
presidents that even they are not above the law.
