Graduation

In May 1980 I went through the graduation ceremony at the University of Arkansas.



Here I am holding my degrees from the University of Arkansas and from Westark Community College (now Univeristy of Arkansas Fort Smith).

A Nice Tradition

The University of Arkansas has a nice tradition. A lot of the sidewalks running around the campus have a lot of names in them. This is known as the Senior Walk. Someone compared the Senior Walk to the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The name of any person that graduates from the University gets placed in the Senior Walk. Names are done according to the class that one graduates with. In my case I had to find the Class of 1980. Then I found my name. The Senior Walk begins with the Class of 1876 and continues to the present. Be sure to see the Senior Walk if you ever visit the University of Arkansas.
