We've spent the semester looking at some of the distinct challenges that the Internet poses to law, law-making and law enforcement. Legal scholars have pointed out that in addition to presenting challenges, the Internet may offer significant opportunities to approach law differently.

Read the following three articles:

• A Michael Froomkin, The Internet as a Source of Regulatory Arbitrage, in Kahin & Nesson, Borders in Cyberspace (1997)
• Joel Reidenberg, States and Internet Enforcement, 1 Univ. Ottawa L. & Tech. J. 213 (2004)

Please come to class prepared to talk about both the normative and the practical implications of all three analyses. Pay particular attention to how each of the authors' arguments apply to the topic you presented in class (and on which you are writing your paper).
