John Levey, Composer & Theorist
 
Welcome!
John Levey is a composer and music theorist living in Ann Arbor, MI.  He is currently a Rackham Regents Fellow at the University of Michigan, where he is pursuing a joint Ph.D. in Composition and Music Theory.  

John holds a M.M. in Composition from the University of Michigan, and a B.M. in Composition from the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music.  His composition teachers include Bright Sheng, William Bolcom, and Susan Botti at the University of Michigan, and George Tsontakis, Lewis Nielson, Jeffrey Mumford, and Nancy Galbraith at other institutions.
