Yuu then tells Ginta that he doesn't think the way that Ginta dumped Miki was so bad. He says how he understands that Ginta couldn't tell Miki how he felt with his friends interested in her too. Ginta explodes at him. Ginta tells Yuu that he makes him sick. Yuu replies that it's funny because Ginta doesn't make him sick. Yuu then tells Ginta that Ginta is not worth his time. Yuu walks back towards the house and Ginta wants to know why Yuu is going into Miki's house. Yuu explains that this is his house too. Ginta doesn't believe him. Ginta yells for Miki. Yuu tells him that Miki will talk to him when the time is right. Yuu asks him to leave, quietly. Ginta swears, loudly. Miki is in her room wondering what to do.
Later that evening, Yuu is teasing Miki. She figures that what happened must not mean anything to him. She goes back to her room. Yuu watches her.
At school the next morning, Miki says good morning to her friends when Ginta stands up. Miki hurries up and runs to her friends before Ginta can talk to her. She can't bear to face him right now. Later, Miki is talking to Meiko about all of this and asks Meiko what to do. Miki says that she doesn't even want to think of Ginta as a boyfriend after what happened. Meiko asks about Yuu and Miki says that maybe she would like to have him for a boyfriend but she has no idea what she really wants to do. Meiko suggests that Miki ask Ginta for a little time to decide who she likes best. Miki agrees that it is a good idea.
Miki talks to Ginta and asks him for a little time but until then, she wants them to be just like they were before. Ginta agrees.
On the way home, Meiko asks which kiss Miki liked the best; Matsuura's in the infirmary or Ginta's in the classroom. Miki can't believe that her best friend would say such a thing. Yuu calls to them from across the street. They realize that this is where Yuu works part time. They stop in for coffee. Yuu introduces them to his boss, Kijima. Kijima asks them to look around. Yuu calls them when the coffee is ready. Yuu brags that he makes better coffee than Kijima. Kijima reluctantly agrees with him. Yuu then pulls the Toryo school medallion out of his pocket and asks the girls about it. Miki tells him about a legend behind the medallion. She says that if you put a picture of the one you love in it, they will start to love you in return. Yuu says that it is a stupid legend. Kijima then tells him that the legend may be true.
He tells of a girl who put the picture of the one she loved in it and always carried it around with her. She was so bashful that she couldn't bring herself to tell him how she felt. Because of his family, he had to move very far away. She snuck her medallion in his bag so that he would know that someone cared about him. Once he left, she lost track of him. She thought about him for a long time. Lots of guys asked her out but she turned them all down. Ten years later, she was working as a tour guide in New York when a man walking past her dropped something. She picked it up and it was the medallion. He was visiting and miraculously ran into her. For some reason, he had been carrying that medallion for 10 years.
Miki and Meiko think the story is beautiful. Yuu is skeptical and says that it is just too perfect. Kijima replies, "Is it?". Yuu wonders what he means by that. Meiko spies some pictures on the wall. It is of Kijima and his wife in New York City. They realize the story was about him. Miki thinks to herself that she someday wants to put a picture of the one she loves in her locket but will it be Yuu or Ginta?
After school the next day, Ginta and Miki are at tennis club when they learn that Ginta's partner for the invitational just broke his arm. All of the other students would slow Ginta down. Then Miki remembers that Yuu plays tennis. Miki had asked him to come try the club and he plays a match against Namura. Everyone see how good Yuu is and he becomes Ginta's partner. Ginta explains to Yuu that there is no other way and that is the only reason he will play with him. Ginta then sees Miki looking at them and she runs away. Ginta thinks that this is not how Miki said it would be. Ginta finishes daydreaming and tells Yuu to raise the net. Yuu is not there. He then goes looking for Yuu who is hiding from him in the library.
Yuu gets ready to pick up a book when he hears someone come in. She tells her partner that no one is around since she had been watching the entrance. Yuu thinks about how he snuck in thru the window. The female tells her partner that she loves him and Yuu thinks about how they are going to ruin his afternoon. He decides that he must leave. He looks around the corner and sees Meiko and Namura in an embrace.
