At school the next morning, Ginta regrets asking Miki to make a decision about him or Yuu. She comes into the hallway and asks Ginta to follow her. They go to the school roof. Miki tells him that she is a girl with feelings for two guys so she can't go out with just him. He tries to tell that he will make her forget but she still refuses. She then tells him to take Arimi-san. She leaves. Ginta can't believe this is happening.
After school, Miki and a classmate practice tennis with Ginta looking on. We see Ginta's medallion and it has a picture of Miki in it.
In the library, Miwa-san is staring at Meiko. He asks for a date and she turns him down. Namura-sensei comes in, says hi, and leaves to do research. Meiko thinks, "I missed the chance."
At a cafe later on, Miki tells Meiko it is a waste that she turns all the guys down, especially Miwa-san. Miki then starts rambling on about food and Meiko tells her she doesn't have to act like she's happy. Miki is surprised that Meiko noticed. Meiko tells her she needs both Yuu nd Ginta. Miki gets upset because she just gave Ginta away. Meiko apologizes. Meiko then sees Namura through the window and takes off. Miki ponders what Meiko said.
Later, Miki is in a store shopping but finds no enjoyment in it. She is brooding. On her way home, she runs into Arimi who tells her she is staying at Ginta's house tonight. Miki walks away, numb. Miki thinks about it all the way home and finally thinks Ginta is getting on with his life. Miki has flashbacks of Ginta. She is miserable.
When Miki gets home, Ginta is waiting for her. Ginta explains all the lies and that it was just an act. He expects her to explode. She just says that she is glad it wasn't true. He gets too close and she pushes him away. She tells him that is not in THAT mood. He tries to kiss her anyway. Yuu comes up on them and smacks Ginta in the face with a bag and takes Miki inside. Miki starts to ask Yuu why he stopped her. She changes her mind and calls him stupid.
