Okay, this is starting to get ridiculous... two months since my last entry in July! But I suppose that it's just an indication of how busy I've been. I just finished my second week in Minneapolis as a new University of Minnesota student. Honestly, I've been having a rough time getting settled in. I really only arrived in town two days before classes started — I haven't even unpacked all of the stuff in my apartment yet! My classes pretty much hit the ground running, as most Electrical Engineering classes have a tendency to do. But I'm also hoping that I can get some interesting research done for the professor that I am working for while I get my Master's degree. Anyhoo, I'm off to rent a carpet shampooer. Let's just say that the Caucasian standard (i.e., my landlord's) of "clean" when it comes to carpets doesn't exactly jive well with the tendency for Asians to go barefoot in their homes.
