Who is Jason Liu?
Welcome to my personal website. This is my little corner of cyberspace where I can shamelessly promote myself, both professionally and personally.
I recently graduated with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. As an undergrad, I obtained two Bachelor's degrees from the University of Michigan, one in Electrical Engineering, and the other in Computer Engineering.
My professional area of expertise is in VLSI circuit design. Perhaps my most notable assignment so far in this field has been to participate in designing the core processor (i.e., the "brain") of the Nintendo Wii while as a co-op/intern at IBM. (For those of you C.E. enginerds out there, I was assigned to help design the memory management unit, which includes the translation lookaside buffer and all of the control logic that manages the CPU's virtual memory.)
In what little spare time I have, I work as a freelance website designer. I specialize in designing websites that maximize accessibility and usability by conforming to current Web standards. Occasionally, I also try to find ways to incorporate Flash into my designs, while still maintaining accessibility and usability.
