About Me

I joined Google after graduation.

I received my Ph.D. degree in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department (CSE division) at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. My advisor was Prof. Scott Mahlke in the Compilers Creating Custom Processors (CCCP) research group.

I received my Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Seoul National University in 2009, 2011 respectively.

My resume is available here: pdf.

Research Interests

Broadly, I'm interested in low power, high performance computer architectures and compiler techniques to support them. In the past, I worked on building application-specific processors, and compiler techniques to support them. During my Ph.D., I also worked on the performance and energy efficiency of CPU last level caches, and supporting efficient multitasking on GPUs.
