Greenfield Union Elementary School
At Greenfield Union we are collaborating with fourth and fifth graders
to create murals on the interior walls of the school. Through the mural
project, a select group of children creates an art experience for everyone
in a school which has no art teacher and few outside resources. Last
year's project was a mural series about the four seasons, and this past
semester we painted one large mural about school and community next
to the main office in the central hall. We work in true collaboration
with the children, facilitating their processes of theme generation,
drawing, composing and painting.
