The River

An Artists Book based on text from Henry David Thoreau's A Week on the Concord and Merrimack Rivers. A series of ten silicone intaglio prints, each 5"x10", made from my drawings and photographs of the Concord rivers. Published in an edition of 12, half of which have been purchased by private collectors and public institutions including the Houghton Library at Harvard University and the John Hay Library at Brown University.

Silicone Intaglio Prints

These prints are a combination of photographic and hand-drawn imagery generated from film positives, transferred to silicone plates and using hand painted chine colle papers. They were printed in collaboration with master printers Nathan and Heather Arak Kanofsky in Easton PA.
