Rehabilitation Engineering is a subset of Bioengineering. In general, it can be defined as the application of engineering and engineering principles to help people with disabilities. However, some areas which would fit this definition (such as prosthetics) are not usually included under the definition of rehabilitation engineering.
My research area is working on alternative methods for people with severe movement limitations to control technology that can help them to improve their independence and quality of life.
