I am a graduate student in the philosophy department at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Before moving to Ann Arbor, I was an undergraduate studying philosophy and literature at the University of California, San Diego. During the fall of 2000, I studied abroad at the University of Ghana, Legon.

My research covers topics in formal semantics, philosophy of language, and metaphysics. With regard to formal semantics, I am investigating the English progressive as part of a general investigation into tense and aspect. With regard to philosophy of language, I am interested in linguistic intensionality, event semantics, and cognitivist approaches to meaning. With regard to metaphysics, I am interested in events, causation, and dispositions. A copy of my curriculum vitae is available here.

When not doing philosophy, I spend time playing guitar, working on my LaTeX skills, and hanging out at 826 Michigan.
