Located just east of the now demolished Old Main Hospital,
the Women’s Hospital was completed in 1950.
This four story building could “accommodate seventy seven mothers and
eighty-two babies.”[64]
This was a major improvement from the old structure which was small,
old, and inefficient. Designed by
Lewis Sarvis, the building cost about $1,750,000.[64]
