The Power Center is a sleek, modern facility constructed primarily of concrete and glass, designed in a new theater style called modern classical.[106]   Located on the corner of Fletcher and Huron Streets, the center provides space for performing arts and corporate presentations.  The two tier seating section is modeled after the Greek theatre at Epidarus having no seat in the theater farther than eighty feet from the stage.[106]  The Power Center was designed by Roche & Dinkeloo and is named in honor of the people who made its construction possible: Eugene and Sadye Power, and their son Philip.[106]  Not surprisingly, some students mistake the origins of its name for the center being so close to the power plant.
