Neuroscience Building Demolition

This two story, brick structure was constructed in 1948 to provide storage and processing for food served at campus residence halls.[49]  The building was constructed on the corner of Glen and Huron Streets and designed by Louis C. Kingscott and Associates and cost $1,450,000.  It contained a bakery, butcher shop, large refrigerator rooms, and warehouse storage for canned goods.[49]

The Food Service later was converted to the Neuroscience Building because of its close proximity to the Medical Campus.[107]  It was demolished in July of 2002 to make way for the new Biomedical Science Research Building.
