The
leader drifts around the upwind mark. Wind speed depended on
the co-operation of the electrical system. When the A/C unit
for one of the offices kicked on, the added load tripped the
circuits and the wind died. The trick was to have as much
momentum as possible to gain position on the other boats in
the fleet.
