Designing and animating these little creatures was one of my favourite parts of the project. Each monster sprite has the following animations: rest, block, hit by opponent, attack, down (stunned) and dead. Some creatures have more than one attack, a ranged attack, and spellcasting animations as well. Some units, like all of the bandit class, have randomized weapons, equipment and colours which you will notice when they return to their resting position.
PC characters have additional animations, such as the cheer, in which they raise their weapon and/or arms in the air.
