This mastodon skeleton was based on the anatomically accurate model assembled by Dr. Daniel Fisher of the University of Michigan's Natural History Museum. It is an exact replica of the original, three meter high skeleton on display at the university today.

I participated in the creation of a few of the bones, in cleaning up and posing the model for digital presentation, and in researching new laser scanning techniques for future data generation. The bone at right, and the skull above right, are physical models generated from the same data set.
