New stuff: Vector Poem!, laser scanning, motion capture, game environments in 3D
My name is Scott Hamm. I am a Canadian citizen currently living in Ann Arbor, Michigan and have been employed by the University of Michigan for several years in 3D visualization.
For four years I worked in the University of Michigan 3D Lab, gathering, creating and editing 3D data for a wide variety of applications, including virtual reality and stereoscopic projection. Over the years, my experience in the 3D Lab evolved from constructing, texture mapping and animating 3D models to include gathering and visualizing scientific data, including laser scanned surface data, and motion capture data.
I was recently promoted to Instructional Support Services, where in addition to generating 3D content I will be training students and faculty in a wide variety of programs and high-end hardware, explained in more detail here.
Vector Poem is my latest Flash creation, an interactive application which allows students and poetry enthusiasts to visually manipulate and rearrange a group of three short poems in real time.
I've also been expanding my knowledge of ArcGIS in order to support a very exciting project to be revealed soon. Other recent developments include work on a personal short Flash film project, titled Horace the Frog's Excruciating Journey and some 3D animations of low-poly characters to Iron Tower Studio's computer game Age of Decadence. |
