On the Move
I am headed to the University of Wyoming at Laramie.
Research
I am interested in number theory and arithmetic geometry with an emphasis
on elliptic curves over function fields, their L-functions, and related
topics. I am also interested in big monodromy problems, namely showing
that almost all elements in a family of Galois groups are big in a suitable
sense. If you are interested in these topics, then you might consider
checking out some of my papers.
Twins
In my thesis I showed that there are infinitely
many twin-prime pairs f,f-1 in F_q[t] (for 'most' q), a function-field
analogue of the well-known (open) problem in Z.
On 3/25/05 twins made a more significant impact on my life with the birth of
my sons Moby and Kelvin (pictured above). My wife maintains a wonderful
blog
with pictures of them.
