I have the following items automated (to greater or lesser extent in my home:

1.	Most lights - some I have not automated just in case the computer goes down -
	 I want a few excluded from computer control.  The lights are controlled by X-10
	devices.

2.	Voice Response (had Voice Recognition but not enough memory in computer to
	 actually run it)

3.	Automatic temperature and other weather announcements on the
	 half-hour for temperature wind, humidity etc.

4.	Automatic dial-in to the local TV station for weather foecasts
	 in the morning and in the afternoon

5.	Automatic control of remote space heater (via x-10)

6.	Automatic notification (via outside floods) when someone is approaching as well
	as automatic Television to the outside camera to identify the approcher

7.	Had (but went back to work and no longer have time to work on it) automatic
	 tv changing and automatic CD changing	depending on time
	 of day as well as day of week.

8.	Automatic water detector and voice announcer if water in basement.

9.	Automatic reminder of time to take medications

10.	Automatic Alarm Clock and radio on throughout the house with flashing
	 lights (I am difficult to get up!)

11.	Announcement of Mail Delivery and Daily paper delivery (although the paper
	 delivery is not working currently)

Check out CEB for use instead of X-10 - (to get feedback of status)
Additional  cameras
Drive way sensor and car sensor to announce who is driving in the driveway
When new windows are installed automatic closing of windows if open and rain detected
