Abstract
This review deals with the numerical simulation of
magnetohydrodynamic flows. A general overview of the
different numerical techniques compares their
advantages, disadvantages and points to the appropriate
application areas. Some specific schemes, and their implementation in
the Versatile Advection Code are discussed in more detail.
