A 45 km long deposit of oolitic terraces is composed of synsedimentary aragonitic ooids 0.5-6Mm in diameter. Crenulation of the ooid laminae demonstrates evidence of algal precipitation. Laminae were deposited in a wave-swept near-shore environment, the ooids were eventually deposited in deeper water on the bench slope of the Glenns Ferry Lake.
