                            Feedback Requested on Microfiche Claims

          During the spring and summer of this year, LPS received multiple
          complaints from depository libraries concerning the failure of the
          microfiche contractor, Court Reproduction Services, Inc. (CRS), to fill
          microfiche claims. The complaints were submitted to GPO’s Term Contracts
          Division for follow-up. Contractual obligation requires CRS to fill valid
          claims in a timely manner.

          In early September, CRS responded with a letter to all depository
          libraries assuring that measures would be taken to resolve the microfiche
          claim problem. These measures included additional CRS personnel to fill
          claims and a methodology for libraries to follow-up with second claims.

          It has been approximately one month since distribution of the CRS letter.
          We have received reports on microfiche claims from a few libraries and
