                            Web Claim Now Operational

The Library Programs Service (LPS) has implemented a Web claiming application to
make the claiming process easier and more efficient. The new process applies to
materials distributed on GPO-produced shipping lists (paper, separates,
electronic, and those few microfiche shipping lists issued from GPO). For the
time being, LPS will continue to accept claims by Fax. However, all libraries
are encouraged to start using the Web Claim.

to from the FDLP Desktop, under Processing Tools.

Microfiche claims against microfiche contractor-produced shipping lists still
need to be made directly to the relevant microfiche contractor. See

information for the current microfiche contractors.
