             Davis-Bacon Coming Online in Spring 2000 on GPO Access

General Wage Determinations Issued Under the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (L
36.211:, Item 0777-B-04 through 0777-B-10), will become available via GPO
Access in early spring, 2000. The Department of Labor is providing the official
data and the Superintendent of Documents is making the information available in
a searchable WAIS database as part of the Federal Depository Library Program
Electronic Collection. Davis-Bacon on GPO Access will be available to
depository libraries and public users at no charge, and with no restrictions on
reuse or redissemination of the data.

Davis-Bacon, a seven-volume manual with weekly updates, is currently
distributed to depository libraries in paper format. When the electronic
database is available on GPO Access, the paper copies will no longer be
distributed to the depository libraries. This product migration becomes
effective with the revised basic manuals that generally become available for
distribution in February. Depository libraries will not receive the 2000 basic
manuals or subsequent updates in paper format.
