ADMINISTRATIVE NOTES Newsletter of the Federal Depository Library Program --------------------------------------------------------------------- August 15, 1999 GP 3.16/3-2:20/13 (Vol. 20, no. 13) --------------------------------------------------------------------- GPO ACCESS TRAINING OFFERED DURING COUNCIL MEETING Two "hands on" training sessions at individual computer workstations will be held for depository librarians attending the fall Depository Library Council meeting in Kansas City, Missouri. The morning session, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon, is geared toward those with little familiarity with GPO Access. This basic class will introduce GPO Access including using PDF files and general search strategies for such databases as the Federal Register, Congressional Record, etc. The afternoon session, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., is geared to those who already use GPO Access and will provide advanced search techniques on tracing legislation and regulations. Depository librarians may sign up for one but not both sessions. Date: Wednesday, October 20, 1999 Location: University of Missouri, Kansas City Leon E. Bloch Law Library 5100 Rockhill Road Kansas City, MO The training site is 15-20 minutes away by taxi or trolley. Registrants are responsible for their own transportation.
