Increased Cavalry Scouting Capability: a
General may accompany the scouting Cavalry Regiment and assist the Regiment
during the morale roll. The General takes no combat hits and if the Cavalry
Regiment is destroyed, the General retreats back to its previous position.

Increased Force-Marching Ability: players
can Force-March infantry and artillery cards to make two Battle moves. Cards
Force-March by passing a Morale check, which can be aided by a General's
offense rating provided he is deployed with (and accompanies) the marching
cards. Cards that fail the Morale check do not move for the rest of that
Battle turn.

Playable Terrain Cards: (subject to stacking
rules) players may deploy and redeploy Terrain cards during the game in their
Move phase. They are deployed face-up but only in friendly, unengaged positions.
Creeks and Bridges may be deployed between unengaged positions but once deployed
they are permanent and can not be redeployed.
