Being Korean
So, what is it mean to be Korean? Well, I think that the most fun thing about being Korean is that I have a historical, cultural, and legal obligation to hate Japanese and all things Nippon. It's the first article of the South Korean constitution, or so I'm told. So boo to the evil people . . .
When I was attending UofM, I was part of a few groups, namely:
- KCCC (Korean Campus Crusade for Christ) was a bit of fun, but not my cup of tea.
- The more non-religious KSA (Korean Student's Association) is pretty cool. The Cultural Show always grabs large audiences, and I helped produce two as well as authored most of the homepage.
- Did I mention the UMAASC (University of Michigan Asian American Student Coaltion) Art Show and the renegade successionist acting troup (DMG)? I attended most shows, and helped tech a DMG preformance.
- And one couldn't possibly forget about the Nectarine, not a club or an organization (actually, it's a dance club), but it's the first stop on the Party/Dance Tour d'Ann Arbor (Thursday nights).
