One of the most dramatic issues in Orange County is the enormous achievement gap between schools serving the county's wealthy and those serving its poor, immigrant children. I wrote a lot about this gap, and particularly explored what a poor job schools were doing when it came to teaching English to immigrant children. Here is a tiny sampling.
