1. Spire - the capitol of the Imperial Phoenix Empire
2. Imperial College -
3. A haunted house
4. A warehouse
5. The Old City - a city sealed during the Reality Wars, the suspected location of the Molting Feline

D. The Events (so far):

1. The characters meet while Jacques is research the MF in the stacks at Imperial College (exactly how they decide to work together is another issue).
2. The story of the MF

a) Old artifact rumored to have fallen into the hands of one of the Enemy cults about 300 years ago.
b) About 100 years ago it came into the possession of the Cult of Many Eyes and more directly into the hands of BlitheStone.
c) While in the hands of the Enemy, it is rumored that it was perverted.
d) Sometime before the death of BlitheStone, about 20 years ago, it disappeared
e) It is rumored to have been sealed or lost in the Old City

3. The Story of BlitheStone

a) BlitheStone ran a company called BlitheStone Imports and Exports, Ltd. It was established 300 years ago or so and has been in the BlitheStone family until BlitheStones death.
b) BlitheStone died 20 years ago under strange circumstances. The newspaper accounts, where there are any, dwelled upon the sensational aspects of his death. But there is very little follow up, as nothing new really happended.
c) BlitheStone refused a post-mortem interview.
d) It was confirmed after BlitheStone's death that he was a member of the Cult of Many Eyes.
e) BlitheStone's grandson, who was being groomed to take over the business disappeared shortly after his grandfather's death, and has not been located since.
f) BlitheStone's house has been abandoned since his death, and is commonly thought to be "haunted" (within 5 years of his death a young punk was found mysteriously dead during a spat of vandalism by him and bunch of his friends, the house has only suffered from people throwing stones at it since then). The house itself is a fairly large structure including 3 floors (servants quarters in the attic) and a basement. It primarily of stone construction, although at one time it had wood interior panelling. Much of the ground floor's panelling has since been removed (probably shortly after BlitheStones death).

4. Grant visits an adventurer's club and is introduced some facts about adventuring by PitheBurn, a retired adventurer

a) Get an adventurer's license
b) Get a life certificate
c) Get a life assurance policy
d) Some sort of audio/video recording device is a good idea
e) There is a bar/club in the warehouse district that has an entrance to the Old City
f) The Old City

(1) Not an undead hangout
(2) There are "monsters" there, so be prepared to fight
(3) No direct contact between the Old City and the outside world is possible, or at least there is no known direct way
(4) It is rumored that there is a way to access n-space from the Old City
(5) The into the Old City is littered with automated defense mechanisms
(6) No one has (admitted to) successfully mapping the Old City

5. The search of BlitheStone's house, the first visit

a) Discovery of the "paper" as part of the matting in photo of BlitheStone
b) The Man in Black
c) Encounter with gang of kids

6. The analysis of the "paper"

a) It's a heavy paper imported from Lotaria
b) It is used in high quality exotic books
c) Chemical analysis of the paper reveals a "map"
d) This map can be brought out on other sheets of paper through a chemical process, the original continues to appear to be blank
e) The fact that the map was hidden in a purely chemical manner is very advantageous when trying to hide it's existence from detection via PureTech

7. How the "paper" was lost, or the first encounter with the Hunting Solasi

a) The paper is hidden in one of the hidey holes in Jacques home, in Jacques study (on the second floor)
b) Jacque and Zef are awakened in the night by a scrabbling noise
c) Jacque almost shoots Zef
d) Zef surprises the Solasi in the study as it just grabs the "paper"
e) Zef attacks the Solasi
f) The Solasi "pops" out (to n-space)
g) A visit to Grant's lab in the morning reveals that the Solasi visited here first, it is suspected that the paper was tracked via the chemical bath that Grant used to make copies of the "map" (Grant is not pleased by the violation of the lab by the solasi)

8. The visit to the BlitheStone warehouse, or "Tiles 'R Us?"
9. The second search of BlitheStone's house
10. The analysis of the second "paper"
11. Zef's second encounter with the (another?) Hunting Solasi
