Shelob waits in patient hunger
Knows her need
but nature
cruel restrains her

Spinning daylight hours away
her long nights fill with expectation
Catching stars within the web
she weaves for greater prey

Shelob waits in patient hunger
Sets her traps
and hopes
the hunter finds her

Caution is her best advice
entanglement may still betray her
seeking to avoid her fate
she spins a new device

Webs to catch her
Nets to catch her when she falls
