Mirelle and Alex are interesting, but I suffered no grave wounds, and able defenders are expected to help with the fires, and bodies and such. Well, back home they are, at least. No body of importance seems to be helping much at all. I am the son of the King's brother, I must have some importance. As such I would have thought that Benedict would have wanted me to help defeat Dalt's raiders, but he disappeared and left several of us to our own devices. It was kind of heroic seeming, a couple of us defending a ruined castle from a large raiding force. Benedict's plan was brilliant; wait, hit them from behind unsuspectingly. I was happy to wade into the confusion and create a large swath of beheaded and dismembered raiders, just like back home. Damn Odin's eye, I suppose Benedict has no reason to trust me in secret military manuevers yet. I shall content myself with just helping to defend Amber from Dalt. Why did he attack Amber? Because the castle was destroyed? Did he expect easy pickings because of that? The An-bass-a-door said Dalt destroys Unicorn Shrines. Why are shrines dedicated to the clan symbol? Or maybe the shrines and the family symbol honor something else...the god, Unicorn? Are there gods then? Or is this another lie, like the ones about Asgard? Dalt obviously thinks so, rather strongly. If this Unicorn is so important to the clan, why have they allowed Dalt to develop a reputation of burning shrines? Strange.
