General Description

Daughter of Duke Brand and Duchess Jasra of Barimen, the poised and polished Miranda has been raised to a position of privilege that few of Thelbane have been allowed to enjoy. As eldest daughter of Barimen, she stands to gain much for her House by marrying one of the Dukes of the greater houses, becoming Duchess, and enjoying a life of dinner parties and art exhibitions. But perhaps a gilded cage has no appeal for poor, ignored Miranda.

Physical Description

Miranda is about 5'6" tall and slender, with a pale complexion, curly auburn hair that hangs to her shoulders when worn loose, and penetrating green eyes. Elegant and refined, there is an air of confidence about her that bellies her 17 years.

Clothing Style

Miranda's dresses are always the latest in fashion, and never anything that might be considered improper or low-class. She prefers the darker shades of blue, green and purple, but only so long as they're in style. There exists no circumstance that she can conceive of that would ever find her wearing pants.

Personality

In public, Miranda is the epitome of poise and grace, intelligent, well-spoken and proper almost to a fault. Although there is sometimes a touch of arrogance in her bearing, she can be quite charming when she wants to be, and her smile and good manners have enchanted more than one young man.

Among family, Miranda is less reserved and more of the teenager shows through. Even then, however, she is still careful to be respectful to her elders, especially her parents - her father because she adores him, and her mother because she has a healthy respect for Jasra's temper...and her power. Miranda became well-acquainted with that power in her more headstrong, impulsive days, and she's very careful to keep that side of her personality buried now, especially when her mother is around.

Miranda was born in House Barimen's townhouse in Archangelsk during the reign of Emperor Swayvill in the year 11,366.

Residences

House Barimen maintains a townhouse in the capitol city of Archangelsk, in addition to their estates nearby. These lands outside of the capitol are called the Ways of Barimen, "Ways" having about the same meaning as "Duchy." House Barimen also maintains several estates in the east, which are essentially used as summer or vacation homes.
