Session Thirty
	  "Your petty attempts at deception were quite petty."

	Gabriel is in Chaos, and has just left Alastair there, and also
spent some time with Benedict.  Gabriel has asked Benedict what to do
about Lord Targ.  Ben wasn't all that helpful.

	Sean, Sean, Paris and Farad are plotting in a Shadow near Amber
where magic doesn't work.  Farad gets left behind, somewhat through the
devices of everyone there -- i.e., he doesn't want to be near them when
his major power doesn't work, and they only want to be near him if it
doesn't.

	Lilith, Rasa, Dmitri and "etc." are in Amber, plotting things out. 
Duncan reviews his troops until Lilith summons him to this little session. 
However, Duncan is stopped on the way by Edward, who wants to know "where
stuff is."  Duncan doesn't wish to tell him, and doesn't.  "The Trump are
not in the locked cabinet in the library.  The library is not around the
corner."  Duncan finds out that Edward has already walked the Pattern. 
When Duncan and Edward finally make it to Lilith's powwow, they all
realize they don't know the first thing about going after Targ.

	Gabriel sees a figure approach; it is Alastair, and Alastair,
amazingly, surprisingly, shockingly, wants to plant suggestions in
Gabriel's mind.  Hm.  Must be him.  These suggestions are to aid in the
killing of Targ.  Thanks to the blue gem, fist-sized, Targ is psyche-man
for a range of 3-6 Shadows away, so Alastair is sure Gabriel needs these
suggestions, which should overcome Targ's control.  Alastair goes on to
prove that he can disguise himself ably.

	The Seans and Paris are in a high-tech, Trump Supreme, no-magic
Shadow.

	Alastair and Gabriel go on to Targ's place.  Alastair mindrapes
the guards to get them in.  Alastair introduces Gabriel to Targ, and Targ
touches Gabriel's mind.  Gabriel feels several compulsions -- until he
draws his sword.  Then he cuts off the hand that Targ was holding the blue
jewel, fist-sized, in.  Since Targ's phantom pain isn't really enough to
hold onto psychic contact with the jewel, he's defeated.  Alastair insists
on sparing him, however.  Weva.  Gabriel and Alastair go to see Merlin,
and put him on the Throne of Chaos.

	Edward, Lilith, Rasa, Dmitri, and Duncan try to get Sean to
transport them to Chaos.  The three Seans (Uh... just go with it.  I think
Paris was masquerading as a Sean at that point.) are not willing to do so,
supposedly since they keep losing people in Trump transports.  The
Saner-Than-Sean group decides to head for Ygg and Trump Gabriel from
there.  Gabriel answers and comes through.

	Gabriel and Dmitri bristle at each other.  Gabriel Trumps Paris. 
The group decides to go back to Amber, and they all argue about possession
of the Orb.  Dmitri gets Trumped by the Psyche-Man about town, i.e.,
Alastair.  Rasa joins the contact, and ascertains that the person who
Trumped Dmitri knows where the blue gem is.  Edward then proceeds to knock
Dmitri out to break the contact.  They all Trump to Amber, and the Trump
Guys refract the group Trump.  Lilith ends up on a barren plain, Gabriel
in Arden, Rasa in the Abyss, Edward in Amber, Duncan in the castle
middens, and Dmitri remains at Ygg.

	Rasa disgustedly notes none of her Trumps work in the Abyss.

	Gabriel Trumps to Amber and meets up with Edward.  Dmitri Trumps
Duncan out to Arden; eventually, all are back together, except Lilith and
Rasa.  Dmitri makes sure he has the Orb and his Trumps.  Gabriel tries to
Trump out with him, and gets separated from him again, and ends up at the
gates of Amber.

	Duncan Trumps Gabriel, and retrieves him; Lilith eventually
Patterns her way in.  (Teleportation is cool.)

	Edward asks Duncan for a Trump, and Duncan has none.

	Dmitri has been nabbed by the Seans.  They put him in a blender
and threaten to blend him in exchange for the Orb.

	Gabriel Trumps Farad and gets the haps on where Dmitri is.  Farad
tells him, but dances around actually taking them there.

	The Seans set Dmitri on fire.  Rabbits fall down and put out the
fire.  In anger, a Sean purees the bunnies.  Dmitri climbs out of the
blender, and the Seans try to stab him.  Paris tries to Trump Dmitri back
into the blender, but a Farad-spell bounces the Trump onto Paris.  Paris
ends up in the blender.

	Farad teleports Dmitri to him.  Dmitri is cut, burned, stabbed and
covered in rabbit blood.  Farad suggests Dmitri might like a shower.

	Gabriel rides out into Shadow with Edward and Trumps to Ygg, and
from there Trumps Rasa, and brings her through.  She opts to return to
Castle Amber.

	All attempts to Trump Dmitri meet with the flowers and marshmallow
bunnies spell.  Farad is thusly presumed to be involved.  Gabriel and
Edward Trump Farad and go through.  Gabriel wipes off the Orb.

	Paris and Sean improve the blender.

	Dmitri comes out of the shower as Farad departs to check some
spells.  Farad warns them all that Sean and Paris are working on another
blender.

	Rasa finds flowers from Gabriel in her quarters, and puts some of
them in her hair.

	Gabriel can't reach Colin via Trump; he Trumps Sean.  Sean gives
away the fact that he's spoken with Targ.  Meanwhile, Farad's lawn
ornament licks both Dmitri and Edward.  Edward suggests they question Targ
as to where he got the gem.

	Paris interferes with Sean's Trump contact, and they end up in the
usual void.

	Duncan Trumps Sean, and the Seans and Paris go through, free of
the void.  They continue with the blender project, as a Sean Trumps Farad
to tell him to turn off the spying spell.

	Gabriel pulls Rasa through, and they all discuss courses of action:

	a) do nothing
	b) kill Paris and Sean
	c) try to find Alastair
	d) find magic ring

	Edward Trumps Benedict's liaison.  This is mostly fruitless. 
Edward tries to draw a Trump; when Sean notices this, he is amused, and
imbues the object with Trumpiness -- a first time, and then a second. 
Edward is very proud of his "accomplishment."  He makes a Trump of Suhuy's
room, which Sean makes functional, and the group goes to Chaos, to
discover Suhuy is in a private retreat.

	Gabriel wants to check on Merlin, after Paris plays switching
games with Edward.  Sean and Paris do various zany (remember, kids, zany
is another word for obnoxious) things to make everyone believe that Edward
has been kidnapped and replaced with a double.

	When the group sees Merlin, he verifies that he has the magic ring
mentioned in item d above, and gives the group some information as to
where all the magical artifacts that have been plaguing us lately were
found.  They're from the Abyss, of course.

	Paris and the Seans meld.  Creating... Pawn?

	Pawn Trumps Rasa, Edward tries to knock her out, but Gabriel stops
him.  Pawn brings Rasa and her compatriots through to what is now the blob
of Pawn.  They Trump Duncan to see what Lilith might want them to do about
this.  Lilith tells them to kill it.  They are cool with that, all except
Edward, who for some reason thinks that the criminally insane aren't
really criminals.  Or, at least, aren't to be held accountable for their
activities.

	Farad contacts Pawn and offers them an out; Dworkin threatens
Paris to eternity with him if Paris dies.  Paris and Sean choose to take
the out, and the blob blows up, but Farad has them in a vat.

	Rasa's Trump verifies that Sean is still alive.  Satisfied that
nothing can be done to kill them at the moment, the group leaves for Chaos
(that would be Edward, Gabriel, Rasa and Dmitri), to await an appointment
with Merlin the next morning.  Duncan goes back to Amber.  On the way out,
Rasa picks up Werewindle.

	At the end of the session:

	Lilith and Duncan are in Amber.
	Sean and Paris are in the Vat of Farad, and presumably Farad is
nearby.
	Edward, Gabriel, Rasa and Dmitri are in Chaos.
