	No, really.  Brand was dead.  Suhuy is too nice a guy, and it's
mighty suspicious that we can't access the Trump of this stupid Shadow guy
that *Gabriel* found.  Don't think so.

	I got to look into Alastair's mind when he wanted to see if Rasa
had the Jewel.  She didn't, and Alastair didn't.  Pretty sure it's not
Alastair.

	(pause)

	No, it wasn't Lilith or Colin.  It makes Lilith's position too
tenuous to not have it.

	(pause)

	Well, yeah, Eric prolly would kill her for the Jewel, so she could
be pretending not to know.

	(pause)

	Plus, also, Lilith is just not that devious.  Obviously Corwin's
kid.  Nothing redheaded about her.

	(pause)

	Well, Rasa's only fifteen.  We'll be devious together.  You'll
help.  You were real devious before I came along, though, so you prove the
redheads theory.  And Bleys, Brand and Fiona prove the point.

	Colin's a sport.

	You know, a genetic foul up.

	No, don't get me wrong, I still like him.  Lilith's one too.

	Well, anyhow, it's Ganelon or Suhuy, and Ganelon's acting
suspicious.  Suhuy has credentials.  Ganelon is resisting Trump contact. 
Shadows don't do that.

	(pause)

	Quite positive.

	Yes, even if you were a Shadow, you could still block a contact
from us.

	(pause)

	Thank you.  So, what I'm saying is, we find Ganelon, beat him up,
ask him what the hell a Shadow wants with the Jewel of Judgment.  Then we
take his Jewel and then we go back --

	No, Lilith doesn't even want to be Regent.  We don't have to put
her in the dungeon.  Besides, she'll yield the throne to our obvious
superiority.

	(pause)

	Don't worry.  We're smarter than everyone anywhere.  And more
powerful.
