eXtend - 2009 CHI Student Competition (December 2008 - Current)

eXtend is a system that attempts to increase the lifespan of used IT equipment and reduce e-waste by implementing an online system that encourages a flow of equipment within the institution and local community.
- Planned and conducted user research using contextual inquiry methods.
- Integrated end user findings to conceptualize, identify, and establish key features.
- Created personas and scenarios to understand task flows of the target users.
- Generated wireframes and prototypes through an iterative process.

Talking Points - Design Team (January 2009 - Current)
Talking Points is an application for mobile devices that presents user generated location information of the landmarks around the city to the visually impaired individuals.
- Conducted user research on the current information use of visually impaired individuals.
- Designed the interaction flow chart based on the results synthesized from the interviews and usability testing.
- Collaborated closely with the development team to implement and improve the user-centered design of the application.
