A trail marker almost hidden in the base of a fallen tree (the same one that was stretched across the creek in the last photo)
A slug on a mushroom -- I half expected him to smoke a pipe and tell me that one side of the mushroom would make me larger and one would make me small. But that was a caterpillar.
