Info on old aquaintances: Where are they now?

I'm looking for info on the WWII aircraft carrier U.S.S. Independence(CVL-22). It was the first carrier to launch night fighter combat air patrol. It also participated in the Battle of Leyte Gulf. My dad served on the ship as part of a backup gun crew. I'm interested in any stories, remembrances, photos, humor, etc. If you or a relative served on this ship, please let me know(E-mail me!). I'd like to create a 'tribute' page for the ship and her sailors. Thanks.
